Algebra
In school we've been doing algebra, algebra is problem solving where you find patterns and clues to find the answer. Algebra is like simple math but with letters, let me give you 4 examples.
Addition: A+ 8 = 15 ,if A =7 then its 7+8=15
(sum)
Subtraction 13-B=8, if B=5 then its 13-5=8
(difference)
multiplication 8 C=24, if C =3 then its 8 X 3 =24
(product)
division 500
(quotient ----
D=5, if D=100 then its 500÷100=5

Symmetry
In school we did logos with symmetry for companies
Year 6 Graduation
In school at 5:30 was the year 6 graduation. There where songs, prayers and other things led by the year 6's and the teachers but what was really special was when Mr Hahn and Frankie said their speeches and the year 6's did a dance from Tyrone Wells time of our lives. After the dance Mrs' Mcgillivray said some words and then she and Mrs Gleeson presented the Gifts to the year 6's and then the year 6's left.
Eating Bugs
I am learning to persuade.
Are your parents making boring food that you taste over and over again, but have you tried bugs? When you think of eating bugs you think Ew! Yuck! Gross! But crunching on bugs is a real thing and it's not a bad idea. Eating bugs is called entomophagy plus there is already 100 of those critters that can be eaten and it’s good for you. Bugs are nutritious, great for the environment and they can be cooked into lots of delicious treats from all around the world that your family will be BUGGING you to make again and again, so my challenge for you is to eat a healthy nutritious bug.
Are you thinking of having a diet? Did you know even in the dirt those tasty bugs had protein, zinc, fiber, vitamins and no fat? Well now you do! Bugs are really healthy and you can keep on eating while being healthy and gaining no fat but there’s more, are you bored of just eating bugs? Have you tried them with normal food?
Cookies and fries, what do they have in common? They are delicious. Have you tried bugs with your food? Eating food with bugs in them doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea it just might encourage you to eat more nutritious bugs. There are really sweet food ideas like chocolate chip cookies, chocolate covered crickets and then there are the bland food like fried rice with locusts and you can bring some of them on your road trips.
Here’s a fun fact, did you know that eating bugs is good for the environment? if we eat bugs there will be less greenhouse gasses and it can save animals like cows will still produce milk, sheep can still produce wool and pigs can roll in the mud. Insect farming is another way of helping the environment, it’s like farming but with only insects (hence the name insect farming) plus it’s really good because insects don’t need lots of space, they are easy to feed and they can live under tons of conditions.
At the end now you know a lot of facts why to eat insects, they're healthy, fun food to make and it’s good for the environment. So now that you know a lot why don’t you try an insect today!
Christmas cards
In school we made Christmas cards to get ready for Christmas. In the inside we did a message to someone and then on the outside we did a silhouette of of a Christmas tree with a pastel background, we used masking tape, paper, pastels and art pencils.
