I am learning to inform the audience by writing an information report.
Did you know there is as little as 70,000 kiwis left in the entire world, and in 50 years kiwis have the potential to be extinct! The kiwi is a native bird of New Zealand, not a fruit or a person. The kiwi is normally found in the rainforest, farmland, bush areas. The Kiwi is brown in colouring and has little feathers and short wings so they can’t fly because of their small wings. However they do lay large eggs the size of an ostrich egg. There are 5 species of kiwis: the Little Spotted Kiwi, Great Spotted Kiwi, the Brown Kiwi and the Tokoeka. Kiwis are New Zealand’s national bird but they are hunted by vicious predators.
The kiwi has many predators such as cats, dogs, ferrets, stoats and worst of all possums! These predators are the reason why kiwis have been moved to a saferhabitat on an island where predators cannot reach them. This is to help the kiwi survive. Stoats and cats are mostly harming baby kiwis in the first three months of life while dogs and ferrets go for the big birds and that's a big problem because without adults there will be no more eggs meaning no more kiwis, and possums eat eggs and adult kiwis. Which such predators the kiwi needs to make sure they have a habitat that can help protect themselves against predators.
A kiwis habitat can usually be found in the rainforest but they can also live in diverse habitats from rough farmland to snow tussock with lots of hiding places so you will see the home but not the kiwi. Kiwis live in dark places because they are nocturnal, but some threats (like us) destroyed some of its habitat, now half of kiwis are homeless but some New Zealanders decided take action and take the kiwi to a habitat where that is safe and is full of food to keep them from being hungry.
A kiwi is an omnivore which means they eat plants and living creatures like bugs.
They mostly eat invertebrates which means animals without a backbone like worms, larvae and more. Kiwis also eat berries, leaves and seeds and some unusual food like bracket fungi, frogs, freshwater crayfish, eels, kiwi fruit and tuna. Kiwis even have a favourite food, earthworm! They also drink water from lake like other birds.
As you can see the kiwi is a vital part of New Zealand it is the is the national bird and is a symbol for many people living in New Zealand. There are many dangers that threaten the kiwi bird, such as predators, lack of habitat and ensuring there is enough food for the kiwi to survive. In order to ensure that they will be around for the future generators we need to understand the kiwi and to work together to ensure they will always be in our future.

The Life Cycle of a Sea Turtleš¢
I am learning to inform my audience through an explanation.
Did you know there was an animal that was here since the dinosaurs and they have been living in the sea? You probably know what this is about, a sea turtle. There are seven types of sea turtles in the world. Six are endangered but people are trying to help them survive. Every sea turtle goes through the life cycle. There are three stages in this life cycle, the egg stage, the baby turtle stage and the adulthood stage.
When the female turtle comes onto the beach she digs a hole as long as her foot and she lays 100-110 leathery ping pong ball eggs in the hole, buries it and heads back to the water. After 45-80 days they hatch into baby turtles.
When the new turtles have dug out of the sand the baby sea turtles face many dangers. Such as crabs, birds, racoons and more but as they get to the water there is even more! The water dangers they face are sharks, water birds, fish and more including things from humans like plastic or oil. They eat things like jellyfish.
After a month it will grow into an adult, even though they are big, sharks can still eat them and human things like oil and plastic are killing them. Then the male turtle comes and mates with a female and the cycle happens again.
Sea turtles might be the oldest creatures on earth but things humans do and other animals are affecting the life cycle, so we should stop harming them to let the cycle continue.

Brussel sprouts
I am learning to inform my audience by sharing an entertaining moment.
When I was around six, or maybe seven something terrible happened. I ate brussel sprouts. One morning I was hungry, so I went to the kitchen complaining to my mum that I was hungry. She replied with eat brussel sprouts.
Not a big deal right? So I ate the brussel sprouts little by little, filling my mouth with the dry leafy texture. Brussel sprout after brussel sprout. All of a sudden I didn’t feel so well. I grabbed a glass of water to try and help the brussels go down easier. This helped as I gulped more and more water down, I felt kind of feel better. Standing there with my glass dad calls out to get in the car.
Since my mum and dad were renovators I had to go to another house, the motion of the car didn't help my achy tummy, my sickness had come back. But I didn’t think to tell my mum and dad because we were going to a chinese restaurant later so I didn’t want everyone to be sad. As the day went on my stomach still didn’t feel well, but I suffered quietly.
When arrived at the restaurant for lunch my mouth felt a tap was turned on in my mouth, filling with water. I still felt like it wasn’t a was a good idea telling them I felt sick. Stepping out of the car I finally let it go. I puked everywhere, the brussels sprouts had come back .
From that day on I never wanted to see or eat another brussel sprouts again. It is not a good idea to eat brussel sprouts. Well, sometimes it is, if you are an adult I guess.
